Bed Construction: A
More Efficient Process
These wooden bed frames have been constructed in
a carpentry technical school in Costa Rica operated by
the Salvation Army and another school in Honduras
operated by Sociedad Amigos de los Ninos. These
beds have now been delivered to the families living in
each country. They were assembled in their homes and set
up with a top quality mattress.
Donations from people and organizations like you provide
these beds that bring multiple benefits to the countries
and their poorest families:
- The materials are purchased on the local economy
- The beds provide training projects for the carpentry
schools
- The little children receive their new beds.
The delivery teams include churches, schools, community
organizations, families and individuals who travel to
these countries from the United States. They also
include students from (ICADS) the Institute for Central
American Development Studies.
